How Jenny overcome trauma and balance work and family life

Jenny was juggling raising a family with her stressful role of dealing with high-pressure cases in family law. The nature of the cases was causing vicarious trauma, including difficulties sleeping, and she was always on the clock cognitively and emotionally. Jenny was so exhausted after work each day that she opted for bad food choices instead of feeding herself and her family healthy meals.

Jenny made an appointment with our nutritionists, who created fast, simple and family-friendly healthy meal plans to replace the takeaways. She also accessed psychologists who provided strategies to debrief, prevent burnout, and decompress from the heavy cases. Finally, access to health coaching helped Jenny improve her sleep management, which led to an overall boost in her mental and physical wellbeing.

These healthcare improvements resulted in a 15% reduction in absenteeism and when audited had a 12% reduction in interruptions to her caseloads. Importantly, the strategies and expert advice that helped Jenny manage her sleep also resulted in overall improved physical health including better weight and diabetes prevention.
